River City Sports Festival Announced

Ronin' Productions announce first-ever River City Sports Festival in Mason City, Iowa to be held May 9 - 11, 2014

Ronin' Productions, LLC announced today the first-ever River City Sports Festival that will be held in Mason City, Iowa beginning Friday, May 9 and continuing until Sunday, May 11. This event will feature eight amateur competitions for individuals and teams.

River City Sports Festival will feature archery, basketball, dance (team and individual), karate, power lifting, softball and wrestling. A majority of the events will be held at the North Iowa Area Community College complex with Mason City Park and Recreation hosting the softball tournament and the Mohawk Archery Club hosting the archery competition.

Ronin' Productions was proud to announce that even before today's press conference that Accelerated Rehabilitation Centers had already agreed to be the title sponsor of this tremendous event. "Accelerated Rehabilitation Centers was quick to jump on the opportunity to serve as the title sponsor for this new community event,: said Michelle Barkas during the announcement. "Being a part of major events like the River Sports Festival gives us an opportunity to emphasize our commitment and dedication in our community and its quality of life."

The event is being promoted by Ronin' Productions, LLC whose Chairman Sonny Onoo is a resident of the Mason City, Iowa area and has been searching for this type of event to showcase his hometown for a number of years. "This event has the potential to really grow the pool of amateur athletes in the community and make Mason City more of a destination for sports enthusuasts, said Sonny Onoo. The goal of Ronin' Productions is to make this an annual event in the area and grow the event to a level achieved by other multi-sport events such as "The Arnold" and "Mr. Olympia."

Each event will be run by a Director who has run other tournaments in their specific sport on a local, regional and national level. The events are being forecasted as a who's who of the amateur sporting world in the states and areas that surround Mason City. Events will begin on Friday, May 9 and continue until Sunday, May 11.

Ronin' Productions is also working with the Visit Mason City Visitors Bureau on this historic event. The project is also sponsored by the Iowa Economic Development Authority and the North Iowa Sports Authority. Sue Armour, Executive Director of the Visit Mason City Visitors Bureau echoed everyone else in the excitement for the event, "This is a great event for the Mason City area and we all believe will be a great event to showcase our city."
