Rescue Me Magazine Nominated for "Hottest Launch of the Year" Award
Irvine, CA, November 25, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Rescue Me, an I-5 Publishing title devoted to assisting homeless animals and the people who care for them, has been named among the best new magazines of 2014. The award for “Hottest Launches of the Year” is presented annually by MIN: Media Industry Newsletter, a professional resource for magazine brand leaders. Out of nearly 700 new magazines launched between October 2013 and the end of September 2014, Rescue Me was named among only 30 magazines nominated for the award.
Each year, MIN honors those in the magazine industry who have stood out from the publishing pack with a banquet and awards ceremony. The winner of the “Hottest Launches of the Year” award is selected by a panel of MIN editors and will be announced at the awards breakfast banquet on December 5, 2014 at the Grand Hyatt in New York City.
"This recognition confirms that we're getting it right on many levels - for quality publishing, for responsible pet ownership and most of all for the animals."
This year’s awards will be presented by Dick Ryan, vice president of sales at Publishers Press and Dr. Samir “Mr. Magazine” Husni, director of the Magazine Innovation Center at the University of Mississippi. Along with the “Hottest Launches of the Year”, the event will also include awards for “Most Intriguing People in Media” and “Rising Stars.”
“To be recognized alongside so many great publications is a huge honor,” says Jackie Brown, editor of Rescue Me. “The nomination is a testament to the work we’re doing within the animal adoption and rescue community. This recognition confirms that we’re getting it right on many levels – for quality publishing, for responsible pet ownership and most of all for the animals.”
Rescue Me tackles issues directly related to rescue pets – those still in need of saving as well as those who have found forever homes. Along with uplifting stories about real rescued pets and inspiring calls to action, Rescue Me also includes important features on subjects such as adoption best practices, spay and neuter innovations, training and behavior troubleshooting, and tries to answer the question many adopters ask themselves: At the end of the day, who rescues who?
Rescue Me not only champions the plight of homeless pets through published content, it inspires action by donating a substantial portion of each yearly subscription to a pet rescue or shelter organization of the subscriber’s choosing.
