There are three programs available, depending on age. The first of the Austin dance classes available during the summer dance camp is a themed, weekly program. Each class last five hours and is designed for kids who are ages 4.5-11. This program is called the Dance and Creative Arts class. Children will love this class as it is themed on some of the most popular shows on television. These shows include Shake It Up, Teen Pop Divas, Everything Justin and Glee. Activities included in this wonderful class include Arts and Crafts classes along with Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Ballet, and musical theatre. Gymnastics will also be included.
The next weekly camp for this year's summer dance camp is designed for children who are ages 3 through 5. It is a three-hour class similar to the above but it reflects televisions programs such Fairy Wonderland, Dancing Disney, Princess Party and Fancy Nancy. This is also called Dance and Creative Arts.
For children aged 7-16, a five-hour, weekly class is available as well. This Austin dance class is recommended for those who have had some dance classes in the past. It is designed to improve dance skills and techniques. This class is set up in levels: Beginner/Intermediate level and Intermediate/Advanced level.
All of the Dance and Creative Arts classes are divided into age groups and ability, with beginner and more experienced classes available. No previous dance experience is needed for children to enroll into these fun-filled summer dance camp classes which are conducted in well-equipped rooms, in a safe and friendly environment.
These classes allow children to delve into creative arts opportunities and to get exciting and enjoyable exercise while they learn to dance and act. Children can participate in a variety of activities such as costumer dress up, acting, painting, musical theater and, of course, dancing! In addition, children enrolled in these classes can participate in learning about arts and crafts, scenery design, and many other creative projects.
