REELY Selected as Official Highlight Provider for the NAIA

Computer vision company announces three-year deal to automate real-time clips, highlights, and condensed games produced and shared from live streaming videos from 250 member schools.

REELY Corp. and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced a three-year partnership on Thursday to make REELY the official provider of real-time clips, highlights, and condensed games during its national championships for the 2019-2022 seasons. This partnership will empower the NAIA to create and distribute short-form content to boost social engagement and provide fans with dynamic content faster than ever before. This news is the latest in a string of REELY partnerships at the collegiate level including PrestoSports, the Missouri Valley Conference, the ECAC and the Canada West Conference.

“We have been searching for a technology platform to provide our fans with real-time video highlights to enhance our digital strategy and marketing,” said Brad Cygan, NAIA Director of Athletics Communications. “The ability to produce digital content immediately during our championships is vital to us and our fans. REELY will not only make this possible but will make it easier to produce this content to put the talents of our student-athletes on display to a wider audience.”

In the past eight months, REELY has added over 75 collegiate, semi-pro and professional teams and leagues to its rapidly expanding customer list. The AI platform creates huge new content opportunities by automatically clipping highlights from a broad range of field and court sports including basketball, football, soccer, baseball, softball, volleyball, lacrosse and hockey.

“Our customers want to reach fans by showcasing the amazing moments from their student athletes,” said Ian Stephens, CMO and Co-Founder of REELY. “There is an unprecedented demand for short-form content but creating that content is costly and time-intensive. With our platform, customers can easily curate and share the best highlights from multiple simultaneous events in real-time – effectively giving one person the power of a professional editing team."

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), headquartered in Kansas City, Mo., is a governing body of small athletics programs that are dedicated to character-driven intercollegiate athletics. NAIA members provide more than 65,000 student-athletes with opportunities to play college sports, earn $600 million in scholarships and compete in 26+ national championships. | @NAIA
