Pride St. Louis to Host 'OUT at the Ballpark' Event
'OUT at the Ballpark' scheduled for Sat., Sept. 19 at Busch Stadium in Downtown St. Louis
St. Louis. July 9, 2010 - Pride St. Louis, Inc. announced today St. Louis' first official 'Out at The Ballpark' - a celebration of friends, family and community within the Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual and Transgender (LGBT) communities of Metropolitan Saint Louis. The event will be held Sat., Sept. 19 at Busch Stadium.
Pride St. Louis, Inc. has partnered with the St. Louis Cardinals to become the fifth major city in the U.S. to host an 'OUT at the Ballpark' event. The daylong celebration will feature pre- and post-game parties and in-game recognition at Busch Stadium.
"We are excited to partner with the St. Louis Cardinals to produce an official 'OUT at the Ballpark' event recognizing LGBT individuals, their friends, and families from the St. Louis metropolitan region," said Tyler Hill, president of Pride St. Louis, Inc. "This important partnership will increase visibility of the LGBT community and help build a foundation that fosters tolerance within the St. Louis community and it's surrounding areas."
