Potomac Officers Club To Hold Event Next Week Featuring the Pentagon's Frank Kendall

The breakfast event will take place at the Ritz Carlton Tysons Corner from 7-9:45 AM.

On Wednesday, October 15 the Potomac Officers Club will hold yet another event in its “headline speakers on headline topics” series when it hosts a DoD research and development event headlined by Frank Kendall, undersecretary of state for acquisition.

Kendall is just the latest DoD speaker at a POC event as Army Deputy Chief Information Officer Michael Krieger and Teri Takai spoke at recent POC events.

Kendall as well as Robert Hale previously spoke at the Post-Sequestration Summit concerning automatic budget cuts and the long term implications on the federal government and contractors.

“From global issues to federal legislation, our members want to hear about what’s happening in the large market of DoD research and development,” said Julia Fanning, Executive Mosaic speaker & event coordinator.

“We are happy to be able to provide a forum for them to come together to talk about what’s trending with their peers and hear directly from the leaders in the DoD,” she added.

The other speakers at the event will include Stephen Welby, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Systems Engineering; RADM Matthew Klunder, Chief of Naval Research; Major General William Hix, Deputy Director/Chief of Staff, Army Capabilities Integration Center.

“We are expecting more than 100 executives from the government contracting community to attend,” Fanning added.

The breakfast event will take place at the Ritz Carlton Tysons Corner from 7-9:45 AM.

The Potomac Officers Club members meet twelve to fifteen times per year to foster business growth and share information about emerging business trends and innovations. The  Potomac Officers Club was created in January 2002 and operates with a heavy bias toward supporting government contracting in a positive light. POC is not open to service providers nor the “professional networking” crowd.
