To support Delaware County residents affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, Park Power, a Pennsylvania-based energy provider with headquarters in Delaware County, will contribute $25,000 to the Delaware County COVID-19 Response Fund. Park Power will encourage customers and staff to support the community through the fund. The Response Fund was created last month by The Foundation for Delaware County in response to the current pandemic crisis.

The foundation created the response fund to provide resources to frontline organizations that are delivering emergency assistance including food boxes and gift cards for food-insecure families, as well as diapers, essential supplies such as cleaning and basic hygiene products, and collecting personal protective equipment (PPE) for front-line workers.

“Amid the continuing spread of this pandemic, we are committed to helping support the Delaware County residents. Our donation aims to provide support for essential resources to organizations struggling to manage an increased need for services at a time when they cannot operate with the usual resources and methods,” said Louis DeSanto, VP at Park Power. “As a retail energy provider, we want to ensure that our customers who are experiencing challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic have the support and resources they need.”

“We’re grateful that Park Power chose to step forward to support the foundation’s Delaware County COVID-19 Response Fund,” said foundation president, Frances Sheehan. “We have received over 50 requests for funding from area nonprofits that are serving our most vulnerable residents during this crisis. We could not provide this funding to nonprofits without the support of organizations such as, Park Power, that have stepped forward to donate to our fund.”

Park Power continues to supply customers through this pandemic and is available for service and support, Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. at (610) 971-9000.
