One Lampshade Limitless Styles and Filtering All Made In One Shade
Online, June 3, 2014 (Newswire.com) - What if you could buy one lamp shade and be able to interchange them with all kinds of different styles? That is what Style-A-Shade™ does. You literally can mix and match your look and filtering by changing out the Style Cover™ that is designed exclusively for the lamp shade. Then, to add a touch of novelty if you choose, you can add Style Trim.™ Designer Leisa Coffman, designed the lamp shade, cover and trim, so that anyone can mix and match them and virtually create limitless styles and filters all from one lamp shade. Coffman says, "I have always loved lamp light and filtering light is very important for me. Sometimes I might want a bright lamp light, while at another time I might want a dimmer cozier feel but from the same lamp shade. So I designed a lamp shade that easily changes in second's time."
The shades are not available to the public yet, but those of you that have an interest in this product have a firsthand chance to support it and make it available very soon through crowd funding. Coffman put her Style-A-Shade™ on Kickstarter.com to get production started quickly. She explains, "Nobody else is doing this in the marketplace and I want to get this going quickly and get it out to the masses that have a need for this product." She continues, "Each household has at least 5 to 6 lampshades in their home and those that are particular about their lighting a lot of times are settling with whatever they purchase with the lamp. Style-A-Shade™ can come in various sizes however the main size 11x11x10 fits most average size lamps. The drum shade is clean and looks good in any decor, one shade will last you a lifetime. They are manufactured in the USA and are made to last. The covers are hand washable and line dry and slip easily onto the shade giving a clean fresh look. Those that are highly allergic to dust will like this shade it's very neat and clean as the average shade collects a lot of dust because of the light and heat."
Coffman is very creative and always has her own way of doing most things. She is not a big fan of ceiling lights therefore having a lot of lamp light and different filtering is very important to her because she doesn't use ceiling lights in her home. She remarks, "Most people that know me well know that I think ceiling lights are taboo", she laughs, "I literally cringe when people put harsh lighting on in a room. This is why I learned to make the most of a couple of lamps in a room, I've been doing this concept for years. The way that I designed the lamp shade is that you can completely remove the cover when you need the brightest light, then put on a light weight fabric to slightly filter the light and for a cozy night time light for watching television you can put on a heavier weight over the light weight want. They are layer just like a woman layers her tee shirts." She smiles. "But the best part is they don't look interchangeable, they have a high end Pottery Barn look."
