AAISA Settlement & Integration Conference

NewOrg Management System, a leading data management platform for nonprofit organizations, social service providers and government agencies, today announces its sponsorship of the Alberta Association of Immigrant Serving Agencies (AAISA) 2021 Settlement & Integration conference.

This year's virtual event spans three days from December 7 through December 9 and features over 25 sessions, open forums, and cluster discussions. More than 350 attendees are expected, according to Kyla Arneson, event manager.

"We're honored to participate and help financially support this important gathering of leaders and dedicated professionals in the IRCC SPO community - a space close to our heart both in Alberta and across the country for over a decade," said David Crouch, Founder and Managing Director of NewOrg. "AAISA's thoughtful, relevant programming and mission to address the needs of newcomers to Alberta, the agencies that serve them, and the larger communities that welcome them is important work that truly makes a difference to society and improves outcomes for all."

"Designed for frontline professionals and managers from settlement and integration agencies (from executive directors to outreach workers, case managers, career and employment counsellors and settlement practitioners), this year's virtual conference provides an opportunity to build capacity, share new knowledge and expertise with peers while generating practice insights and strategies to better serve newcomers and help them succeed," said Sarosh Rizvi, Executive Director of AAISA.

"On behalf of the 2021 AAISA Settlement and Integration Conference, we are excited to welcome NewOrg Management System as a sponsor for the upcoming event," Rizvi said. "We're excited to welcome over 350 registered frontline professionals and managers from settlement and integration agencies."

As part of its support, NewOrg is underwriting the "Implementing Case Management within Broader Settlement Services" session presented by Calgary Catholic Immigration Society (CCIS), led by case manager Afraa Akasha and Rowena Theodore, manager of CCIS Client Support Services. This session explores themes around organisational restructuring during a pandemic, implementation of case management services within the larger settlement programming, and best practices and learnings in bridging case management and settlement services.

In addition, NewOrg's Canadian Lead, John Baker, will be available all three days at the NewOrg virtual booth to take chats and questions, and provide additional information and free downloads for anyone interested in NewOrg's data management solutions and free resource guides for the community.

"With summer of 2021 being our 15th anniversary, NewOrg continues to expand capabilities to provide some of the most comprehensive and advanced solutions to our Canadian partners available on the market today in the IRCC space," Crouch said. "We look forward to listening, learning more, and continuing to customize our solutions to provide you the best support and automated data management framework that frees you to spend more time doing your important work. I'd like personally to thank AAISA's management team and board for this opportunity to meet and collaborate more closely with the AAISA membership community, many of whom are friends and clients."
