New Crowdfunding Campaign Teams Rapping Ninjas With TV Show To Transform The World
Online, October 14, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Since working under the tutelage of music legend, George Clinton of Parliament Funkadelic, and appearing in music videos with trailblazing new acts like B.o.B, the ninja-themed music group, Wind Clan, from the town of Macon, GA, has explored numerous ways of using their growing influence to affect positive transformation in the world.
In 2011, Wind Clan leader and founding member, Stevario "C. Wind" Windhom created the Wind Temple of Universal Life and authored "The Book of Wind" to promote the philosophy of finding truth for oneself by first separating conditioned responses from one's true state of being.
This same "mind-freeing" philosophy is channeled through Wind Clan's music, as well as through Wind Temple's 365 Project which donates at least $1 to a different charitable cause each day for one year to demonstrate the impact that can be made through even the smallest of contributions.
Naturally, when presented with the possibility of appearing in a promising new animated series, Wind Clan immediately leapt into action seeing it as an opportunity to spread their message internationally.
"Urbance" is a visually stunning animation project by Montreal, Canada-based company Steambot that has generated a lot of buzz recently. Their award-winning trailer for the project has allowed them to make valuable connections and move forward with creating a pilot episode to present to networks.
Steambot is utilizing crowdfunding through Kickstarter.com to raise the $189,000 CAD needed to create the pilot episode. As is typical of Kickstarter projects, Steambot is offering tier-based prizes associated with the amount contributed by each backer. Included as a prize is becoming a character in the Urbance series for a contribution of $5000 CAD or more.
In order to help bring this promising project to life, as well as create international visibility for Wind Clan and its message, Wind Clan has started it's own Kickstarter to raise the $5000 needed to have at least one member appear as a character in the series by November 1, 2014.
Increased visibility will allow Wind Clan to utilize its brand recognition to raise money for various causes through public appearances, art auctions, and a variety of creative avenues to support positive transformation in communities around the world.
