Neubert, Pepe & Monteith, P.C. Welcomes Intern Monica Torrijos
NEW HAVEN, Conn., July 11, 2018 (Newswire.com) - Neubert, Pepe & Monteith welcomes intern Monica Torrijos. Ms. Torrijos joins the firm from the Lawyers Collaborative for Diversity (LCD) summer intern program. LCD’s program is selective, and they choose only a handful of well qualified, diverse college students who have an interest in the law.
Ms. Torrijos, a student at Eastern Connecticut State University, is interested in pursuing a career in law. This internship provides Ms. Torrijos an introduction to the practice of law and exposure to varied practice areas. Enriching the internship, LCD summer interns visit the Dr. Henry Lee Institute of Forensics, University of Connecticut and Quinnipiac University law schools, State and Federal courts, the Office of Attorney General of Connecticut, and other agencies and State offices. The students will participate in additional group programs throughout their summer internships.
“As a member of Lawyers Collaborative for Diversity, Neubert Pepe & Monteith is thrilled to be hosting Monica Torrijos as part of LCD’s Summer Internship Program,” states Attorney Michael Neubert, founding partner, and current LCD board member. “We look forward to working with Monica on various legal assignments and enhancing her understanding and appreciation of our profession and what it has to offer to diverse students considering their career options.”
