Neidra Wilson Has Been Recognized Among the Top in Her Industry by Noticed©

Noticed celebrates its newest member, Attorney Neidra Wilson

Neidra Wilson, Associate Attorney, Weitz & Luxenberg, has joined Noticed©, an invitation-only service for distinguished professionals. Wilson has been chosen as a Distinguished Lawyer™ based on peer reviews and ratings, dozens of recognitions, and accomplishments achieved throughout her career.

Wilson outshines others in her field due to her extensive educational background, numerous awards and recognitions, and exceptional client advocacy. Wilson attended college at The College of William and Mary where she graduated with an undergraduate degree in 2005. She was accepted to Rutgers University School of Law where she was included on the Dean’s Honor List and graduated in 2008. Prior to starting work at Weitz & Luxenberg, Ms. Wilson worked for a New Jersey employment law firm. Since 2011, she has worked exclusively on asbestos litigation at Weitz & Luxenberg.

My focus now is on talcum powder products that have been found to be contaminated with asbestos. The area is still developing, but I'm excited to continue this work.

Recognized by Lawyers of Distinction among the top 10 percent of civil litigators nationwide, Wilson brings a wealth of knowledge to her industry, and, in particular to her area of specialization, defending clients who have developed lung disease due to asbestos exposure. When asked why she decided to pursue a career in this area of law, Wilson said:

"My step-father worked for the post office, and he was president of his local union. I watched him defend people, and help them get their jobs back, and I thought I could do that as a lawyer. In 2001, he passed away from lung cancer—my mother and I didn’t find out until years later that he might have been exposed to asbestos. This was a very natural specialty for me, and I’m really motivated by improving the quality of life for my clients and their families."

Today, Wilson handles cases involving clients with mesothelioma, lung cancer, and some non-malignant lung growths as a result of their exposure to asbestos. Her dedication to her clients shows in every interaction she has with them. “I don’t want any family to miss their chance to fight back,” she says. “In my family, we had no idea. But my clients have a chance to fight.”

As a testament to her commitment to improving the very structure of the law to benefit her clients, Wilson is a member of the New Jersey Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice. She also pays careful attention to trends and developments in her area of specialty, and notes:

"My focus now is on talcum powder products that have been found to be contaminated with asbestos. The area is still developing, but I’m excited to continue this work."
