Identifying suspects from surveillance video or still-images with the patent-pending Captis I-4 system has gained international media exposure. Most recently with the identification of a pharmacy robbery suspect in Citrus Heights California. The robbery suspect trampled an 87-year old patron while fleeing the pharmacy, the patron later died from her injuries. The Captis I-4 system produced identification information within 24 hours and located the suspect’s location in Las Vegas Nevada where he was arrested and is now being charged with murder along with robbery.
In the first quarter of 2018, Captis is reported to have identified dozens of criminal suspects within 48 hours across North America, UK, and Europe. Subsequent investigations through the Captis PRISM platform have identified social networks, communications, and location information on the suspects. “Law enforcement has been astonished at some of our results using Captis, especially with the quickness” stated Robert Oberosler, Vice President of Asset Protection for Rite Aid Corp, an active national enterprise user of the Captis I-4 system.
“We are very excited about our partnership with NAVCO, a leading integrator with a strong and impressive track record throughout North America” stated Kirk Brown, Vice President of Business Development for Captis. “We remain selective in the system dealers we partner with, NAVCO represents a key step in the Captis strategy within retail and banking” added Brown.
The Captis I-4 system will be featured in NAVCO’s booth (#309) at the upcoming NRF-Protect conference in Dallas Texas from June 12-13.
