MoneyMaker: The First Watch for Traders by Meccaniche Veloci

Meccaniche Veloci, the Italian-Swiss watchmaker based in Geneva, presents a preview of its latest watch. The new MoneyMaker will be officially unveiled at the next Basel World Watch and Jewellery Show, Baselworld 2016.

The MoneyMaker is part of the Quattro Valvole – Four Strokes collection, showing four different time zones simultaneously, and will be the first watch launched by the Geneva watchmakers with the new MV8801 in-house movement.

The dial of the MoneyMaker is characterised by a traditional guilloché needle-etched design with radial elements applied by hand representing a vault door, and the symbols of major world currencies make it quick and easy to identify the four different time zones. The new logo characterizing the production 'Made in Geneva' also appears for the first time on this model.

The MoneyMaker represents an absolute ground-breaker for the watch brand Meccaniche Veloci. For the first time the unique 4-valve piston-shaped case appears with a theme that isn't strictly related to motor racing. This model portrays two contrasting aspects of the same theme in fact: the security of a bank vault and the volatility of the stock markets. The complex work on the dial is both classic and bold in a particularly elaborated and original style.

Cesare Cerrito, Chairman of Meccaniche Veloci

Cesare Cerrito, the Executive Chairman of Meccaniche Veloci, stated: “The MoneyMaker represents an absolute ground-breaker for the brand. For the first time the unique 4-valve piston-shaped case, which has always been in our DNA, appears with a theme that isn't strictly related to motor racing; this model portrays two contrasting aspects of the same theme in fact: The security of a bank vault and the volatility of the stock markets. The theme is dealt with in a fresh, ironic tone, in the usual Meccaniche Veloci spirit. The complex work on the dial is both classic and bold, in a particularly elaborated and original style. The MoneyMaker is therefore intended for a new type of clientele”.
