Midwest Fertility Law Group (MWFLG) Established by Preeminent Third-Party Reproduction Lawyers Dedicated to Family-Building

Licensed attorneys Tim Schlesinger, Meg Ledebuhr, and Chelsea Caldwell are thrilled to announce their new partnership and establishment of Midwest Fertility Law Group, PLC, a premier multi-jurisdictional law firm dedicated to third-party family formation.

The equal partners are inspired by one another's dedication to and expertise within their shared specialty. The group boasts licensing in Missouri, Illinois, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and Arkansas and looks forward to continuing to work with both domestic and international clients.

The firm specializes in surrogacy agreements, embryo, egg and sperm donation agreements, and the legal actions necessary to establish parentage when children are born as the result of these arrangements. The group is eager to further develop direct consulting relationships with fertility clinics, surrogacy and egg donation agencies and other legal professionals on third-party family building legal issues affecting their practice.

MWFLG Partner, Tim Schlesinger, who successfully litigated the landmark Missouri case regarding frozen embryos (McQueen v. Gadberry), wishes to acknowledge and thank his previous employer of over twenty years, the firm Paule, Camazine & Blumenthal, for their gracious support and well wishes. "After over twenty years of specializing in family building law within Paule, Camazine & Blumenthal, I am ready to take my commitment to the fertility law field a step further, join forces with my new partners, and offer sophisticated solutions to modern day family-building challenges."

MWFLG Partner Meg Ledebuhr boasts valuable depth and breadth of expertise in the fertility law space. She brings past experience as in-house legal counsel to an international surrogacy and egg donation agency. She also built a successful solo practice on the heels of a noteworthy litigation career, where she achieved many awards, including the "40 Under 40 Attorneys to Watch in Illinois" distinction. Meg stated, "Surrogacy and all non-traditional reproduction have fascinating legal issues. I'm looking forward to continuing to help clinics, agencies, and hopeful parents navigate these issues to build families."

MWFLG Partner Chelsea Caldwell is not only committed to her clients but also to contributing to the ART field as a whole. She brings experience representing clients worldwide seeking to build their family through ART. In addition, she has honed her skills representing agencies and other professionals within the field whose services are vital to the family building process. Chelsea shared, "Our vision for the MWFLG is not only to continue helping clients navigate the legal processes of third-party family formation, but to join forces with the network of professionals who work to advance the field of ART and advocate for equitable access to modern family-building options."

The partners of Midwest Fertility Law Group welcome new clients and look forward to earning new partnerships with fertility clinics and surrogacy and egg donation agencies.
