McBee to Present Webinar for Home Health's Successful Transition to OASIS-D

McBee’s Quality Manager, Karen Tibbs, RN, MS, HCS-D, COS-C, will present the webinar on Sept. 18 at 1 p.m. ET.

Tibbs will include an overview of the changes and how they are going to impact home health agencies. She will address needs for post-acute providers to prepare and execute plans prior to January 2019. She will discuss how these changes affect 33 data items, cover the new items that support the IMPACT Act, and explain the critical need for home health agencies to complete the OASIS accurately, or risk financial penalty, miss potential reimbursement, or risk a denial by CMS. Tibbs will provide insights into overcoming implementation challenges, as well as recommendations to ensure agencies are successful during this transition.
Karen Tibbs, RN, MS, HCS-D, COS-C, Quality Manager, OASIS & Coding Services, is a registered nurse with a Master of Science in Health Care Quality. She is currently the Quality and Education Manager for McBee. She has 22 years of home care experience with extensive knowledge in medical review, regulatory compliance, ICD-10 and OASIS accuracy.
