LSG Chairman Leads Investment in Mogees to Extend Its Machine Learning Technology for Broader Human Computer Interaction Applications

Mogees, multi-award-winning machine learning and gestural recognition innovator, today announced that it has received an investment of £1 million. The group of investors includes several illustrious figures including Elio Leoni Sceti, board director of ABInbev, former CEO of Iglo group and previously CEO of EMI; Haim Perry, founder and board member of Hotels4U, and Eric Nicoli CBE, former Non-Executive Chairman of HMV Group plc, The Tussauds Group Ltd and Vue Entertainment Ltd as well as CE of United Biscuits and CEO of EMI. A.I. Music Group, founded by Siavash Mahdavi, is also in the group. The Mogees investment follows the recent launch of the multi-award-winning domestic products Mogees Play and Pro devices.

Elio Leoni Sceti
Elio is a board director of ABImbev, chairman of LSG Holdings (active in PE, wealth & legal services and real estate), and an active investor and board adviser in early stage tech companies (with 15-20 currently in portfolio).

Elio was CEO of Iglo group (Iglo, Birdseye and Findus) until June 2015, when he led the sale to Nomad Foods. He was previously global CEO of EMI Music, till 2010. Elio's previous international career was at Procter & Gamble (5 years) and Reckitt Benckiser (16 years), where he was EVP, head of Category & Innovation, and head of EU, when he left in 2008.

Haim Perry
Experienced professional and founder of hotels4U.com (sold in 2008 to Thomas Cook, where he’s been a board member for 6 years), Mr. Perry has invested in several tech startups. His investments include Invision (sold to Intel), Centtrip, Akazoo, Yakatak and Corephotonics.

Eric Nicoli CBE
Eric has worked in multinational, consumer-facing companies for over 45 years. He was Executive Chairman of EMI Group plc from 1999 until 2007, when he led the sale of the company to Private Equity house Terra Firma. Previously he was Group Chief Executive of United Biscuits plc for 9 years. He has also been non-executive Chairman of privately held companies in a range of business sectors including Vue Cinemas, The Tussauds Group, uSwitch and HMV Group. He is currently Chairman of Yo! Sushi, Centtrip Ltd and Wentworth Media & Arts Ltd; Senior Independent Director of Greencore Group plc and a director of Akazoo Ltd. In recent years, he has invested in and advised a number of start-ups in the media, entertainment, social media, technology and financial services sectors.
