Lindsey S. Strom Has Been Recognized Among the Top in Her Industry by the Expert Network©

The Expert Network© celebrates its newest member, Attorney Lindsey S. Strom

Lindsey S. Strom, Attorney at Law, Strom & Associates, Ltd., has joined The Expert Network©, an invitation-only service for distinguished professionals. Ms. Strom has been chosen as a Distinguished Lawyer™ based on peer reviews and ratings, dozens of recognitions, and accomplishments achieved throughout her career.

Ms. Strom outshines others in her field due to her extensive educational background, numerous awards and recognitions, and career longevity. She enrolled at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. After graduating with a degree in Speech Communications, she pursued her law education at DePaul University, where she earned her Juris Doctor in 2008. During law school, Ms. Strom had the opportunity to hone her legal craft as a Law Clerk with the Cook County State's Attorney's Office in the Juvenile Justice Bureau. She obtained her 711 license, which allowed her to begin representing clients in court before completing her degree and successfully prosecuted juveniles in narcotics and domestic violence cases. Ms. Strom practiced workers’ compensation as an insurance defense attorney before finally joining her father, Attorney Neal B. Strom, at his firm. Her experience working with the insurance companies has provided a wealth of knowledge and has made her better equipped to help injured workers in need of her expertise.

"Our interest is in litigation and continuing to stand up for the people that are injured. The trend right now is that case filings are down, and people are discouraged, I think because they believe that it's too risky to file a case because they might not win and lose their job as a result. But it's our job to assure them that this is within their legal rights and that it is the best course of action."

Lindsey S. Strom, Attorney at Law, Strom & Associates, Ltd.

With over 10 years dedicated to law, Ms. Strom brings a wealth of knowledge to her industry and in particular to her area of specialization, workers' compensation law, as well as her appellate practice and general civil litigation. When asked why she decided to pursue a career in law, Ms. Strom said:

"I remember in fifth grade, when I was ten years old, we did a project on a book called 'The Giver.' We had to do a mock trial as an assignment based on the book. I wanted to be the prosecutor, and that really solidified for me, even at a young age, that this is what I wanted to do. My parents never pushed me into it or anything. Between that assignment and seeing my dad at the office as a kid, for me, confirmed that this is what I want to do. I knew that it was my path."

Today, in her practice with Strom & Associates, Ltd., Ms. Strom provides industry-leading representation on cases involving workers compensation. What sets Ms. Strom apart from her peers in worker's compensation law is her unwavering dedication to doing everything within her power to ensure that every case gets the attention it deserves. She has carried through with her the tenacity of her formative years in law and is known within the industry as someone who plays by the rules while thinking outside the box. Additionally, Ms. Strom's many years working in the emotionally challenging Juvenile Justice Bureau have given her a strong foundation upon which to fight for what's right for her clients, regardless of the complexity of the case or the emotions involved.

As a thought-leader in her field, Ms. Strom keeps her finger on the pulse of prevailing trends in workers' compensation law. Commenting on the fear many people experience when considering litigation, and the importance of building trust with her clients and aggressively litigating on their behalf in the courtroom, she notes:

"Our interest is in litigation and continuing to stand up for the people that are injured. The trend right now is that case filings are down, and people are discouraged, I think because they believe that it's too risky to file a case because they might not win and lose their job as a result. But it's our job to assure them that this is within their legal rights and that it is the best course of action."

In the years since beginning her career, Ms. Strom has enjoyed a precipitous rise to the top of her legal niche. In 2013, Ms. Strom was selected to be a board member for the Workers’ Compensation Lawyers’ Association Young Lawyers’ Section, where she now sits on the organization’s main board. In the last two years alone, she has been recognized by the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys as one of the ‘10 Best’ attorneys for Illinois and as an Emerging Lawyer in Illinois, an honor awarded only to emerging lawyers who rank within the top two percent of their field. She has also been featured in Chicago Magazine as one of the Top Women Attorneys in Illinois and as a "Rising Star" in Super Lawyers®.
