Larson Electronics Releases Explosion Proof Cord Reel W/ 50' Cord & 4 Gang Explosion Proof Outlet
KEMP, Texas, August 31, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of an explosion proof cord reel with quadruple gang tool tap with an included 50 feet of SOOW cord for use in hazardous locations. This cord reel with tool tap comes with a four gang Class I, Division 1 twist lock receptacle and is suitable for use indoors and outdoors. This unit is built with modular components with a spark-proof ratchet and explosion proof slip ring.
The EPLRT4-50-HR explosion proof cord reel with tool tap is rated for use in Class I, Division 1, Groups C and D; Class II, Division 1, Groups E, F, and G; Class III, Division 1; and Class I, Zone 1 hazardous locations. This unit includes the reel, 50 feet of 16/3 AWG SOOW cord with a 14” flange diameter and a four gang Class I, Division 1 twist lock receptacle. A matching twist lock plug should be used with this unit to provide proper protection and to maintain HAZLOC approval.
Larson Electronics’ explosion proof cord reel includes an integral spring actuated ratcheting mechanism for positive cord management housed within the threaded slip ring enclosure. This unit features an aluminum backplate that holds the receptacles and features a handle cutout for carrying. Suitable applications include for use with drop lights and tools in hazardous locations where connection to fixed receptacles is not available or is impractical.
