Kickstarter's TrophyRings Remind Everybody Who's the Champ in Fantasy Football

The Kickstarter campaign ends September 17 and features the 2014 TrophyRing lineup with prices ranging from $99 to $10,000

Superbowl champions receive diamond rings, but fantasy football winners are awarded with plastic trophies or meager cash prizes.  Fortunately, the entrepreneurs behind TrophyRings are changing the game with their Kickstarter campaign, and are aggressively working to raise funds before the campaign officially ends on September 17.

With multiple ring values based on materials, there is a championship ring appropriate for every league.  The first 100 people to support the launch of TrophyRings can pre-order a TrophyRing Kickstarter Edition for $99.  After the first 100 rings are sold, rings will be available at the regular price of $150.  Made of 100% solid brass in the US, this ring is ornately handcrafted with silver and gold finish and is topped with a seven-pointed gold and silver crown surrounding a gold-plated football.  The Kickstarter Edition comes with a certificate of authenticity and display case, while the diamond-studded models come with a certified jewelry appraisal.

“The pros play for rings and so should fantasy football players,” said Sohrob Farudi, co-founder, TrophyRings. “Fantasy football champions are not being properly rewarded. Cheap plastic trophies and cash prizes fail to embody the essence of playing fantasy sports with your friends. Just a flash of a TrophyRing reminds everybody who’s the champ.”

The 2014 TrophyRings lineup includes the following:

·       Crown Ring Kickstarter Edition - $99

·       Crown Ring Silver Edition - $400

·       Crown Ring Grand Edition - $1,000

·       Crown Ring Black Diamond Edition - $5,000

·       Crown Ring Iced Edition - $10,000

For $1,250, nine people can join the official TrophyRings FF League and compete against the company founders for a $5,000 Black Diamond TrophyRing.  In addition, for $10, supporters can receive the TrophyRings Fantasy Football Sh*t Talk Manual; or for $25, they can receive an exclusive TrophyRings t-shirt.  In addition to the ring lineup, TrophyRings also offers a variety of other pledge levels to support the idea and get involved.

About the TrophyRings Team

For many years, brothers Sohrob and Rahmeen Farudi had played in a fantasy football league with their friends for cash prizes and plastic trophies.  Prior to their draft in 2010, league member Armen Thomasian created his own ornate championship ring in 2002, entirely out of tinfoil and inspired by actual Super Bowl rings, as a reward for their league champion.  Every year since, the rings have become more intricate and stunning, and are the ideal motivation for the league members to compete and win the championship prize of TrophyRings.
