Live demonstration of IHSE's DisplayPort KVM extender enabled with ExtremeUSB at IBC stand 7.B30 from September 15-19 at the RAI Amsterdam
BURNABY, British Columbia, September 14, 2017 (Newswire.com) - Icron Technologies Corporation, a leader in USB and video extension technology, announced today that IHSE, a leading developer and manufacturer of advanced KVM systems, will feature a live demonstration of 4K DisplayPort KVM extension with embedded ExtremeUSB® technology from Icron at the IBC 2017 Exhibition in Amsterdam, Sept. 15-19.
IHSE’s Draco ultra DisplayPort 1.2 is the world’s first 4K DisplayPort KVM extender with a 60 Hz refresh rate in full color depth (30 bit, 4:4:4), allowing users to operate DisplayPort video monitors, keyboards, mice and USB 2.0 flash drives at 50 Mbps when enabled with ExtremeUSB over a single duplex fiber cable up to 10 km and up to 480 Mbps over two fiber cables. It also includes the ExtremeUSB suite of features such as transparent USB extension, true plug and play (no software drivers required) and compatibility with all major operating systems: Windows®, macOS™ and Linux®.
“Our Draco ultra DisplayPort 1.2 KVM extender is ideal for broadcast professionals wanting to distribute images up to 4K at a real 60 Hz refresh rate without any loss of signal quality,” said Stefan Ruppert, PR and Marketing Manager at IHSE. “Incorporating ExtremeUSB into the mix ensures interoperability with not only keyboards and mice but flash drives and all other USB 2.0 devices so that users have all the tools they need while working at extended distances.”
“There are very high expectations from broadcast application customers for supporting 4K video content plus any USB device without degradation when working at extended distances,” said Glenn Antonelli, Vice President of Marketing at Icron. “IHSE’s KVM extender solutions when enabled with ExtremeUSB allow media operators and producers to reliably manage any device from any workstation whether in the studio, mobile production truck, or post-production facility.”
A live demonstration of IHSE’s Draco ultra DisplayPort 1.2 KVM extender with ExtremeUSB technology will take place at IBC stand 7.B30 from Sept. 15-19 at the RAI Amsterdam.
