Honda Australia Unveil the Pricing for the Odyssey Undefined
Online, February 19, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Whether you are considering new or used Honda cars, you may wish to take note as Honda Australia unveil the new pricing for the Odyssey in preparation for its new launch. The 2014 Odyssey will be available in two trim grades and the announced prices show a significant increase on the current Odyssey models.
Although the outgoing model's pricing is a reflection of the age of the edition, the pricing set in 2009 shows that the Odyssey has actually seen a price reduction. The launch price has provided a match for the Grand Carnival Kia model but it is higher than the C4 Grand Picasso from Citroen. Although the next generation Grand Carnival and new model Grand Picasso are due to hit the Australian market in the next month.
This pricing could have a real impact on used Honda cars, as the resale value may reflect the heftier price tag of the newer models. The new Odyssey has a more sleek design which has lost the wagon styling of previous models to create a low floor taller model with one touch sliding doors on the rear. The Australian buyer will be offered the choice of a seven seat model or an eight seat model for the first time.
The standard features on the Vti model include LED tail lights, LED daytime lights, cruise control, 7 inch touchscreen display with satellite navigation, controls mounted on the steering column, remote central locking, independent climate control for front and rear zones and connectivity through USB, Bluetooth or iPhone. The seating layout allows for flexibility of passengers and storage space with seats for up to eight passengers or just two with an abundance of cargo space. With all the seats in place, there is still an increase in boot space of 330 litres compared with the previous model offering 259 litres.
