Homewood Suites by Hilton Launches iPhone and iTouch Applications

McLean, VA, Dec. 22, 2009 - Homewood Suites by Hilton, the international brand of all-suite, residential-style hotels today announced the recent launch of its iPhone and iTouch applications. The new mobile applications enable guests to manage their hotel experience from the palm of their hand, with their iPhone or iTouch, by providing the following core capabilities: ability to find and book a hotel; view, modify or change existing reservations; redeem HHonors points and stays; check HHonors point balances; click to call, and view the full HTML site. Additionally, guests have the ability to utilize eCheck-in up to 36 hours prior to arrival, utilize a map/GPS feature, and view all current domestic specials.

Hilton Worldwide unveiled these new iPhone and iPod Touch applications earlier this month across seven of its brands. The announcement comes as the industry is experiencing an increase in hotel reservations made on mobile devices. Hilton Worldwide reports a 59 percent increase in mobile revenue, generated primarily from the company's mobile-enabled website, compared to the first quarter of 2009. The addition of these free iPhone and iTouch apps will continue to spur growth in the company's mobile revenue, which has increased every quarter in 2009.

Launched in 1989, the Homewood Suites by Hilton brand today has more than 285 hotels and approximately 120 properties in the development pipeline. The brand offers complimentary high-speed internet access, daily Suite Start hot breakfast, and a Welcome Home reception featuring a light meal and beverages, Monday through Thursday. Beyond its spacious suites and home-like amenities, Homewood Suites guests can find at each hotel an on-site Suite Shop convenience store, exercise facility and guest laundry at most locations. Additional guest services include a complimentary grocery shopping service* and a complete business center at most locations.
