New York, NY, December 22, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Families gathered at the Harlem Hospital Center Pediatric Clinic for the annual toy giveaway on Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm. This year, The World’s Brand Freedom of Giving, sponsored by the Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Memorial Committee and FaiM Entertainment, surprised the community by hosting the gifting with the addition of flat screen televisions.
FaiM Entertainment’s CEO, Gus Edward King aka FaiM and wife Natalie King, kicked off the festivities as Santa and Mrs. Claus
"This is the best time of the year for me, I get to provide joy to families in need, and celebrate the legacy of the late Johnny L. Cochran Jr., one of my mentors,"

Every child had a chance to take a photo with Santa, and with the photo each was handed a toy and a ticket for a chance to win a 40” Flat Screen television. This year, Santa’s elves, were portrayed by the Board of Directors of the Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Memorial Committee. They assisted in the hourly giveaway of televisions to the participating families. “Xavier and FaiM are necessary for our community, I was hands on to witness the joy they brought to over 300 kids. With gifts, flat screens but most of all spending quality time, said Willie Walker Vice president of the Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Memorial Committee.
In total, 10 flat screen televisions were given away and over 350 toys and gifts were given to local residents through The World’s Brand Freedom of Giving and Harlem Hospital Center Pediatric Clinic.

This is the first time Freedom of Giving has returned to Harlem since its inception, with the late Johnny L. Cochran Jr. in 2001, at the Apollo Theatre. This annual event has delivered gifts and the message of building communities through giving. The “Freedom of Giving” celebration began with the support of numerous organizations, corporations, entertainers, athletes and individuals such as Dr. Dale Cochran, Rev. Al Sharpton, Jay-Z,
Ludacris, The Apollo Theatre, Planet Hollywood, Macy’s, Bad Boy Worldwide, Mary J. Blige, Cakeman Raven, Forest City Ratner Companies, New Jersey Nets, Las Vegas councilman of ward five Ricki Y. Barlow; Londell McMillan—Source Magazine, Toys R Us, Destiny’s Child, Regina King, Doug E. Fresh and many more. Through the event, we have engaged in conversations with over 5,000 youth about history in order to encourage their dreams. The event has travelled from the east coast to the west (Los Angeles and Vegas) and is now back in Harlem to stay.
Together, The World’s Brand, Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Memorial Committee and FaiM Entertainment will continue to strengthen Harlem through projects such as The Freedom of Giving, in hopes of others joining in partnership with the Harlem Hospital Center.
