Giveback Homes Partners with Intero Real Estate Services Houston

Real estate's social good leader expands in Houston through new brokerage partnership

Houston’s philanthropic real estate community grows with the news that Intero Real Estate Services Houston has joined Giveback Homes, the premier real estate platform and community for social good, at the brokerage level. The new partnership brings more giving power to Houston.

“Intero Houston is known for their forward thinking and we are so honored to welcome their agents to our network,” said Caroline Pinal, co-founder of Giveback Homes. “We’ve found that Houston’s real estate agents are very socially minded. Through their efforts we’ve already hosted a build day and have a second one scheduled for October.”

"Our interest in Giveback Homes started at the agent level when we saw how much good they were doing and how they brought awareness to the issue of safe housing for all."

Katie Maxwell, Managing Broker of Intero Real Estate Services Houston

An upcoming Houston Build Day with Habitat for Humanity on October 29 will bring together Intero agents with other local Giveback Homes Members from several different brokerages and continue the charitable efforts of Houston’s real estate community. Intero real estate agents have also been invited to the Giveback Homes build trip to Nicaragua in December.

“Intero means entire or whole,” added Katie Maxwell, managing broker of Intero Real Estate Services Houston. “For us that means embracing the city we love and doing our best to build a better world beginning with the communities we serve. Our interest in Giveback Homes started at the agent level when we saw how much good they were doing and how they brought awareness to the issue of safe housing for all.”

Giveback Homes makes social good personal by sharing the stories of the real people and families who are receiving life-changing homes. Through engaging events like Build Days, network-and-give parties, and fitness classes with SoulCycle, Giveback Homes has been able to raise money and build awareness for the ways that the real estate industry can make a real difference.

Currently, there are 20 Giveback Homes Build Projects in the U.S. and Nicaragua in partnership with Habitat for Humanity, with many more planned for 2016 and beyond. Giveback Homes recently partnered with Union Rescue Mission to help the homeless living on Skid Row in Los Angeles, and New Story Charity to build homes in El Salvador, Haiti, and Bolivia. The Giveback Homes membership model includes packages for both individual agents, brokerages, as well as real estate technology and service providers.
