Genomes.io Wins the Deloitte Tech Fast 50 Challenge Award

Genomes.io is very happy to announce it won the Deloitte Fast Tech 50 Challenge Award as the most innovative and impactful solution in its healthcare category this year. After a rigorous selection of 3 rounds, the jury decided to award Genomes.io with the prize for the innovative way it has applied Web 3.0 in Health.

The winning company focuses on safe, private and auditable querying of genomic data as a decentralised infrastructure of vaults that allows individuals to retain ownership and commercial rights over their DNA whilst still being able to fully participate in the many scientific advantages and insights that a rapidly evolving genomics market brings along.

For the 20th time, Deloitte has honored the fastest growing technology companies in Germany this year. A total of 50 startups in the fields of biotechnology & pharmaceuticals, energy technology, communication, digital content, media & entertainment, hardware, medical technology, software and fintech receive the Fast 50 Award.

At the award ceremony in Berlin's KI Park, startups from the categories "Quantum in Mobility" and "Web 3.0 in Health" were honored with the Challenge Award, which was launched in 2019. The focus was on innovative solutions in healthcare and the use of quantum computing to control urban mobility.

Following the awards, Deloitte will tap into their global and extensive network in each of the different categories, as well as deep knowledge to identify collaboration opportunities for the Technology Fast 50 Challenge Award winners of each category. Furthermore, winners benefit from a long-term partnership with Deloitte within the partner network and global ecosystem to solve digital challenges, to grow, and to tap into innovation potential together.

Oliver Salzmann, Deloitte Partner and Managing Director of Deloitte's KI GmbH: "We have been honoring innovative and fast-growing companies for 20 years now and every year I am amazed at how much creativity there is. The award winners show how it is possible to take up current trends and turn them into viable business models. I congratulate all winners on their outstanding performance."

Aldo de Pape, CEO of Genomes.io said: "We are very happy with this huge acknowledgement of such a great company as Deloitte and are very much looking forward to working with the company as an ally to make the genomics market more transparent and equitable to all."

The award ceremony took place in Brewdog Berlin on Nov. 10, 2022.
