FreeAgent Central score hat trick of award nominations

Online accounting software company shortlisted for industry awards

Pioneering online accounting software company, FreeAgent Central, is aiming high this week after making it to the finals of two industry awards with three nominations.

Following a survey of online accounting users, the company has been shortlisted in the Web Hosted Accounting category of the SIFT Media Software Satisfaction Awards taking place in London. It has also been nominated for Newcomer of the Year, a category that will be judged by a panel of industry peers.

And finally, FreeAgent Central has been nominated for the ScotlandIS award for Outstanding Performance in Business Growth being held in Edinburgh.

The SIFT Media Software Satisfaction Awards and Scotland IS Awards ceremonies take place on the same night, Thursday 8 October, when the winners will be announced.

The Software Satisfaction Awards relied on users' votes to collate their shortlists. Voters were asked to consider ease of use; functionality; reliability; and value for money when rating the business software.

ScotlandIS nominations were also chosen by the members of the ICT industry website.

FreeAgent Central's founder and CEO Ed Molyneux believes that customer satisfaction and the usability of the programme has been integral to its most recent success.

He says: "It's a great achievement to have made it to the finals in these awards. We've put a lot of work into making the product simple for our users so it's great to get a thumbs-up from the people who matter most - our customers.

"We've always aimed to make life easier for freelancers and small business owners by taking the hassle out of accounting. Unlike offline software packages, FreeAgent Central gives users a clear picture of their finances. "
