New World Flood will host their 7th Annual Battlefield Brawl on April 24, 2016 to raise funds for New World Flood programs and, this year, to support The Davies Project of Mid-Michigan. The day-long flag football tournament, matching Average Joes and Janes and with X-Factors, in a battle of wills and determination, all in the name of charity. It is a fun and exciting day filled with friendly competition for an amazing cause.
What is Battlefield Brawl - A Flag Football Tournament that raises money and awareness for children battling life-threatening illnesses. This year’s tournament is dedicated to The Davies Project of Mid-Michigan, an organization that provides free rides to children and their families to medical appointments. In addition, New World Flood continues to support the The Oldham Project by sponsoring the Day to Breathe. This tournament is a unique opportunity for the community to play alongside former athletes and celebrities as well as local leaders: they are known as X-Factors and are drafted to teams that raise the most funds for New World Flood programs. The event is free for the public to watch. There is a fee for those who wish to play on or sponsor a team. Visit www.battlefiled-brawl.eventbrite.com for team registration.
About The Davies Project
The Davies Project spearheads collaboration across the Lansing capital area to provide community-based, non-medical support to local families facing serious, long-term health challenges with a child. In particular, when a car is unavailable and public transportation is a poor option, The Davies Project helps referred families by providing free rides to and from local subspecialty medical appointments. From March of 2008 to August of 2009, Duckett served as a short-yardage back for the Seattle Seahawks, but found himself approaching an entirely new career path upon his departure from the grid iron.
