New World Flood will host their 7th Annual Battlefield Brawl on April 24, 2016 to raise funds for New World Flood programs and, this year, to support The Davies Project of Mid-Michigan.  The day-long flag football tournament, matching Average Joes and Janes and with X-Factors, in a battle of wills and determination, all in the name of charity. It is a fun and exciting day filled with friendly competition for an amazing cause.

What is Battlefield Brawl - A Flag Football Tournament that raises money and awareness for children battling life-threatening illnesses.  This year’s tournament is dedicated to The Davies Project of Mid-Michigan, an organization that provides free rides to children and their families to medical appointments.  In addition, New World Flood continues to support the The Oldham Project by sponsoring the Day to Breathe.  This tournament is a unique opportunity for the community to play alongside former athletes and celebrities as well as local leaders: they are known as X-Factors and are drafted to teams that raise the most funds for New World Flood programs.  The event is free for the public to watch.  There is a fee for those who wish to play on or sponsor a team. Visit www.battlefiled-brawl.eventbrite.com for team registration.

About The Davies Project

The Davies Project spearheads collaboration across the Lansing capital area to provide community-based, non-medical support to local families facing serious, long-term health challenges with a child. In particular, when a car is unavailable and public transportation is a poor option, The Davies Project helps referred families by providing free rides to and from local subspecialty medical appointments. About Todd Duckett

After his career at Michigan State University, Duckett was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the first round of the 2002 NFL Draft, leading a great lineup as part of their daunting rushing offense from 2003-2005. Duckett was traded in 2006 to the Washington Redskins before returning to his home state in 2007 when he signed with the Detroit Lions. From March of 2008 to August of 2009, Duckett served as a short-yardage back for the Seattle Seahawks, but found himself approaching an entirely new career path upon his departure from the grid iron. Duckett’s passion and drive also lead him to co-found New World Flood. New World Flood is a Michigan non-profit organization that believes citizens can be change agents in their communities by using education and service as a means to sustain the overall welfare of their environment. New World Flood helps citizens develop a sense of responsibility for the overall well-being of their communities and help them use their dreams as a means to drive their motivation to make direct impact on their communities.
