First Annual A Winter Wine Affair to Be Held at J Lounge

Online, January 9, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Sip wine underneath the stars Saturday, January 16, as Blended Events and J Lounge team up to host a charity event benefiting Wine to Water, a non-profit aid organization focused on providing clean water to the 2.6 billion people with limited access. The night will showcase top selections of wine and cheese for this tasting event sponsored by J Lounge and other local businesses.

"Blended Events and J Lounge want to help foster a culture of caring in Downtown," said Joe Park, a Founding Member of Blended Events. "We recognize that there many people living in and around the Downtown area who want to help out and we want to provide an outlet. Wine to Water is a fun event for our crowd and a charity that really facilitates positive change."

Nominated as CNN's 2009 Heroes, Doc Hendley, president and founder of Wine to Water, aims to provide clean water to people in developing countries through funds raised at wine tasting events and is dedicated to achieving sustainability through education and empowerment of local community members, training them to install, maintain, and repair their own water systems.
All proceeds from this event will benefit Wine to Water.
