Emmitt Thrower and ArtistMagnet.Com in Association with John Pallotta Studios Present

A concerned group of institutions from the NYC theater community work together to bring a teen issue based play created by high school students from York Pennsylvania to NYC for a showing at The Players Theater.

"Reach" a free public theatrical event will be performed on Sunday November 01 2009 at 6PM at The Players Theater located at 115 MacDougal Street (Between 3rd and Minetta Lane)NYC NY 10012.It is hoped that this exposure will lead to alternatives to violence.

"REACH" was born out of a desire to bring about a change at Central York High School. A way to force students, teachers, administrators, and parents to face the issues that were being dealt with within the school walls. The students wanted to show that there is an alternative to violence and hatred toward others. Above all, they wanted "REACH" to be relevant. Its creators understand that language and the way in which students communicate will change. The play is broken down into several quick "vignettes" that portray the lives of high school students in and out of school. The names and genders of students as well as the names of places are modified to keep "REACH" an honest portrayal of high school life in any community. "Reach" was written and directed by Ben Hodge & Nick Curry in association with The Reach Players.
