Dual Kumarian Press Authors Arrange Radio Interviews
Online, July 4, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Kumarian Press is kicking off July with two author interviews from both Susan Ross and John Ikerd.
Susan Ross, author of the new publication Expanding the Pie, will speak with Patrick Walters from Triangle Variety Radio on July 13th at 8PM about NGO partnerships and their influence on social media; the elements that make a cross-sectoral partnership successful; and will give advice to organizations wanting to create cross-sectoral partnerships.
Not just an author, Ross is also the founder and CEO of SR International, a private consulting company that provides corporations, nonprofits and government agencies with strategies and tools to actively manage their stakeholder engagement processes and facilitates successful partnerships across traditional sectors. She is a highly regarded businesswoman, international health and development expert, author and speaker whose aim is to improve the lives of vulnerable groups.

Then, on July 27th at 6PM, Shane Gallagher of Sustainable Lens will interview John Ikerd about his new publication The Essentials of Economic Sustainability.
John Ikerd spent the first half of his thirty-year academic career as a traditional free-market, neoclassical economist. He also served on the faculties of four major state universities during his career. As an economist, Dr. Ikerd eventually came to understand that growing threats to ecological and social sustainability are rooted in the neoclassical paradigm of economic development, which is inherently extractive and exploitative, and thus, is not sustainable. Dr. Ikerd spent the last half of his academic career and much of his time since retirement developing and testing the concepts and principles of an alternative development paradigm, the economics of sustainability, which are elucidated in this book. He is also the author of the Kumarian Press publication Sustainable Capitalism.
