Dogster Magazine Joins the ASPCA Holiday Trivia Twitter Party & Giveaway Extravaganza
Irvine, CA, December 16, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Dogster, a new voice in contemporary pet publishing, has teamed up with ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) for the upcoming ASPCA Holiday Trivia Twitter Party & Giveaway Extravaganza. In honor of the 12 days of Christmas, the ASPCA will be giving away treat-filled holiday gift packs every six minutes during a 1-hour online Twitter event. Along with other pet-friendly items, the gift packs will also include a 1-year subscription to Dogster magazine.
Co-hosted on Twitter by Dogster.com (@Dogster) and Cheezburger (@Cheezburger), the ASPCA event will take place on Thursday, December 18, 2014 from 7pm to 8pm (EST). The ASPCA will be asking holiday-pet-related trivia questions while engaging with the hosts. To be eligible to win, followers must RSVP at https://www.aspca.org/form/santapaws-twitter-party-rsvp and include the hashtag #SantaPaws with their answers.
"We're also really excited to see our online magazines hit print, and this will be a chance for our web audience to be among the first to get their paws on it, too."
“We’ve teamed up with the ASPCA on this event a few times before, and it’s always a blast,” says Janine Kahn, founding editor of Dogster.com and Executive Editorial Director at parent company I-5 Publishing. “Not only does the trivia contest allow Twitter regulars to engage with us and win fun prizes, the answers provide them with important holiday pet health information to share.”
Are poinsettias poisonous? Are leftover turkey bones safe for dogs? These are just a few of the questions being asked during the ASPCA Holiday Trivia Twitter Party & Giveaway Extravaganza. Along with the gift pack giveaways, the contest will include one grand prize winner, who will receive a sparkling diamond paw pendant by Zales Jewelers.
Many of the lucky winners will win a 1-year subscription to Dogster’s print magazine and be among the first to receive the premier issue. The hotly anticipated magazine will debut in February, 2015.
“Dogsters love a good holiday party,” adds Kahn, “and our readers are some of the best advocates for responsible pet ownership out there, so this event has always been a great fit. We’re also really excited to see our online magazines hit print, and this will be a chance for our web audience to be among the first to get their paws on it, too.”
