WILLIS, Texas, October 12, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Devonchey Creations is excited to announce the release of its GOLD Holiday Collection on October 18, 2016.
Looking for unique holiday clothing for your little ones this season? Look no further! Devonchey Creations will be releasing their “GOLD” holiday collection next week and in it, you will find a selection of designer outfits that will make your kids sparkle and your holiday pictures glow. This is not your traditional red and green holiday collection and you won’t see elves, reindeer, Santa, or candy canes. In fact, many items in the collection can be worn long after the holidays are over.
"After 20 years of designing dance costumes, I find it hard to rein in my urge to 'bling' up all of my designs. Although sequins and I have long parted ways, I still love the glitter and sparkle of the look and still feel compelled to add that little detail that makes my designs stand out from all of the others."
Denise McGlinchey, Designer
What makes this collection different from most? It could be the designer’s background as a dance instructor and costume designer.
“After 20 years of designing dance costumes, I find it hard to rein in my urge to ‘bling’ up all of my designs. Although sequins and I have long parted ways, I still love the glitter and sparkle of the look and still feel compelled to add that little detail that makes my designs stand out from all of the others. Once my basic design is completed, I just can’t leave it alone, so look for the little details in the trim or the extra buttons, bows, or embellishments that wouldn’t normally be there in a store-bought dress.”
Besides unique designs, what else makes buying from Devonchey Creations different from buying at your local boutique or department store?
“I am obsessed with the quality of my items and have been known to remake an entire outfit if there was something that I didn’t like about it. I have also tried out a design and ended up not liking it. If I don’t like it, how can I sell it to my customers? I’m very picky about my designs and items, therefore I’m a little slower at creating than the person who sews dress after dress in the same design and fabric. When I am finished with a new item, I ask myself, ‘would I buy that?’ I also get bored with my fabrics and tend not to replace them when I run out. This is why a lot of my items and creations are listed as ‘limited’ – because when the fabric runs out, it’s time to move on to something new.”
About Devonchey Creations:
Devonchey Creations, a children’s boutique, is owned and operated by Denise McGlinchey who also designs and creates each item. Although the name was dreamed up by her son several years ago, and is a combination of the designer’s first, middle, and last names, the boutique didn’t officially get started until 2012. After the usual round of typical boutique sewing, Ms. McGlinchey found her niche in the special occasion, vacation wear, and resort-wear branches of children’s clothing. Known for her Rock-A-Hula Luau Dresses and Shirts, she also creates one-of-a-kind special occasion clothing, pageant wear, and costuming.
