Dark Rhino Security Acquires Proteon Software
COLUMBUS, Ohio, August 15, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Dark Rhino Security Inc., cybersecurity consulting firm has acquired Proteon Software, an open source-based high-security web and mobile development company, as of July 19, 2019. Proteon software serves the majority of the PMI chapters around the globe with its technology and services.
“The goal of this acquisition is to create a stronger company with the best parts of Dark Rhino Security and the proven parts of Proteon Software to provide a level of expertise and competence that is not normally seen in the cybersecurity area,” said Kevin Casey, the CEO of Dark Rhino Security.
This decision was based off five key factors: to increase overall local and global market share, overcome entry barriers in critical markets and have additional resources in Europe, decrease time to market, add to existing and develop new capabilities with a diversified global team.
With this acquisition, Dark Rhino Security gains presence in over 30 countries and the ability to develop custom integrations between varying security tools to provide the services and personalization needed in the Enterprise, Government, and SMB markets.
In addition to offering custom development and web hosting solutions around security, Michael Holstein, founder and CEO of Proteon Software, brings a long and diversified career in professional services and account management.
