Dance Studio Responds to Stay-at-Home Order With Online Dance, Voice, and Acting Classes for All… for Free*

Relevé Studios

Relevé Studios owner, Jodi Shilling, and her team of 22 instructors responded rapidly to the news of the Los Angeles Stay-at-Home order this week by pivoting and taking their entire roster of performing arts classes online in under 24 hours.

Los Angeles residents (children and adults) can gain access to the online classes through https://releve-studios.teachable.com for *free to those experiencing financial hardship or “Pay What You Can” to those willing to help defer costs.

Relevé Studios owner states, "We want to help parents who need activities to do with their children now that they suddenly find themselves stuck inside their homes."

In times of great stress, it is proven that physical activity and performing arts bring calmness, clarity, and wellness, and Relevé staff decided they want to do their part to help their community.

The small business recently relocated to a brand new facility and opened Feb. 15, 2020. Now the future of Relevé Studios is uncertain, but the dance instructors there are certain they can still do some good. Relevé is a dance term that means "to lift up” and that is what they intend to do, no matter the current circumstances.

Testimonial and Quote from new online class user:
"Jodi and staff - We absolutely love the teachable site and the girls loved the ability to check out other classes. Cora did the entire salsa class. They did their mini-jazz team class for 50 minutes. Also watched Laurie's introduction to Hula class and the hula video on YouTube. Tomorrow they are doing their hip-hop class with AJ. Stay safe, healthy and try not to go crazy!!
Best, Cora, Ofilia, Morgana and Brad"
