'Cutting Hedge' Artist Michelle Masters Releases Her Mindfulness Holiday Collection

Woodland Cairn- Seasonal Balance

Artist Michelle Masters introduces “The Mindfulness Collection”, her new assortment of gifts for the 2019 holiday season. Michelle’s thoughtful products present the discriminating customer with a natural, mindful, stylish alternative to the glossy consumerism associated with holiday shopping.

“Celebrating a return to the natural simplicity of the season was one of my primary goals in developing this holiday line,” says Masters. “As both an artist and a retailer, I am striving to create high-quality work that people feel good about purchasing, happy to give and connected in the process.”

Topiary, the art of shaping plants to create living sculpture, was a natural source of inspiration for Michelle, whose love of art and gardening originally produced a series of watercolor paintings featuring whimsical topiary hats. She has continually added new designs to her collections, delighting patrons of her booth at the prestigious Philadelphia Flower Show to gift/home decor stores across the nation.

“Images of labyrinth, mazes and stone cairns influenced my Holiday Collection. Each one is a reminder to find your balance, your center, and your path. The holidays can be a crazy, stressful time of year. These images, I hope, can help us slow down and become quiet inside -- to not lose touch with the meaning of the season or our place within that.”

Michelle’s products are made by hand in the USA. Her stationery is printed on sandstone-colored recycled paper and pairs beautifully with holiday red envelopes. She handprints all of her linen guest towels, cocktail napkins and lavender sachets in the collection.

Michelle Masters Studio produces a full line of simple and upscale products for the home and gardener, including stationery, fine linens, framed prints, and marble coasters. Michelle lives on a picturesque farm in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York with her husband, two children and a menagerie of animal friends.
