Razor Emporium, the country’s largest antique and vintage razor restoration company, based in Phoenix Arizona, has opened its first retail location in the Warehouse District of Phoenix.  In 2009, with a passion for shaving focused not only on the ritual, but also on bringing to life old vintage razors that had long been retired, Matt Pisarcik founded Razor Emporium.

Pisarcik successfully began restoring his own razors as a hobby by polishing and sharpening them, and soon realized there was a large demand for his services and so he set up shop.  Within no time, people from all over the country began sending him old razors.  He receives everything from old family heirlooms to odd razors found at garage sales to entire collections of vintage razors.

"People have always asked me where they can get blades for their razors, what kind of soap or brush I would recommend...With the new space we will be able to offer a much wider selection of high quality products in a great atmosphere."

Over the last couple of years, Matt and his team have had more and more requests for shaving products and accessories to accompany their newly restored razors.  He started by offering a few basic products in his workshop, which became a huge hit with his growing customer base.  “People always ask me where they can get blades for their razors, what kind of soap or brush I would recommend.  I got tired of sending them away empty handed, so I begin stocking the basics for them,” Matt explained, “with the new space we will be able to offer a much wider selection of high quality products in a great atmosphere.”

Razor Emporium has seen significant growth over the years.   Last year Pisarcik began scouting for possible locations that would accommodate a retail store to carry all things having to do with shaving and give him more space for the restoration.  He landed at a new location that is double his old space and meets all of his unique requirements.  Matt commented, “I couldn’t be happier with the space we have.  We have the best customers anyone could ask for.  Our new place is more convenient for them and we’re able to offer them a much larger selection of products and accessories.  We are also starting to get foot traffic which is really great!”

Matt and his team are showing no signs of slowing down their growth any time soon.  In addition to all of the classic top of the line soaps, shaving creams, shaving brushes, razors etc, they offer, he is working on manufacturing his own line of soaps as well as manufacturing a his own double edge safety razor.
