Clinical Professionals Group Donates to the Rotary Shoebox Scheme
Reading, United Kingdom, December 2, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Boxes were brought by The Clinical Professionals Group, and filled and decorated by employees at the company, with some employees volunteering to fill multiple boxes.
The scheme was started in 1994, and provides presents for children, teenagers, families and the elderly in Central and Eastern Europe. Boxes are marked as either Toys, Teenagers or Household and shipped out to the relevant countries, where they are then distributed to recipients.
The Rotary Club is a UK based charity, founded in 1905, which brings together a global network of volunteer leaders who dedicate their time and talent to tackle the world’s most pressing humanitarian challenges. The charity impacts lives at both the local and international levels.
Yvette Cleland, The Clinical Professionals Group’s CEO, commented that: “The Clinical Professionals Group has been involved in multiple charity events in 2014. We wanted to ensure for Xmas that we contributed to individuals less fortunate and privileged than ourselves and the Rotary Club Gift Box Scheme seemed an outstanding way of offering gifts in a more personalised way. I feel proud to be part of such a generous and spirited team.”
