Cimbria Capital Announces Barry Mattson as Operating Partner
Houston, TX, December 29, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Cimbria Capital announced today the appointment of Barry Mattson as Operating Partner. Mr. Mattson joins Cimbria Capital with the purpose of strengthening the firm’s expertise in operational, strategic and tactical execution over the course of the investment cycle. He will direct specialized project activities for specific portfolio companies for the Cimbria Acceleration Program. He will also serve as a direct advisor to Cimbria Capital’s investment team and as a potential board member and executive officer for certain Cimbria portfolio companies.
Mr. Mattson brings to Cimbria Capital and its portfolio companies over fifteen years of executive and military officer experience in the areas of leadership, cross-cultural negotiations, operations and due-diligence. He is currently Executive Director of The Mission Continues, a nationwide non-profit that works to empower veterans by deploying them on new missions in their communities while building skills that help them reintegrate to life after the military.

Over the course of his deployments, he was selected as commander of an Army cavalry unit, and led capacity-building efforts and humanitarian relief with Special Forces teams, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and USAID.
