Autotether™ Named Best New Safety Device For Anglers By Outdoor Canada Magazine

Outdoor Canada magazine has selected the wireless kill switch lanyard manufactured by Autotether™ as the Best 2012 New Safety Device for Anglers.

In its annual review of the best products for anglers, Outdoor Canada magazine has selected the wireless kill switch manufactured by Autotether™ as the Best New Safety Device for 2012.

"For whatever reason, many anglers fail to tether themselves to their boat motor's kill switch. Well, now they don't need to - at least not physically - thanks to the Autotether wireless lanyard system," wrote Outdoor Canada Fishing editor Gord Pyzer.

The patented Autotether Wireless Kill Switch System is an easy-to-install, unobtrusive wireless unit. No wiring or tools are required - the system clips to the existing kill switch and is self-powered with AAA batteries. A small personal sensor sends radio waves to a receiver connected to a boat's engine and Autotether shuts off the engine if the boat operator falls into the water. It also sets off an alarm if passengers on the boat wearing the Autotether sensors (including children and pets) fall into the water. The passenger sensors can also shut off the boat's engine when the red alert button is pushed in the event of a runaway boat. It's also portable, and can be taken from boat to boat.

Now through June 30, 2012, Autotether™ will give customers who purchase the company's Wireless Kill Switch System or Screamer Wireless Alarm System a free $200 Revere ComfortMax™ auto inflatable life jacket. Autotether products are designed to clip onto PFDs for maximum safety and comfort. The offer is good only on purchases through the Autotether web site.

Sea Insure and Travelers Insurance offer a discount for boats equipped with an Autotether, man overboard system. For more information, visit www.autotether.com, call 1+860.568.5416 or watch the videos at: www.youtube.com/autotether.
