In Time for the Holidays, Arts & Artisans Day Returns to the Central Sarasota Farmer's Market on December 6

Arts & Artisans Day returns to the Central Sarasota Farmer's Market (CSFM) on Saturday, December 6, in time for holiday shopping.  

Products in the lineup include plant novelties, jewelry, pottery, Christmas cards, recycled outside yard items, soaps, candles and products made of shells including wreaths and Christmas items. Shoppers can also visit the Central Market General Store booth for items such as pickles, jams, jellies, caramel sauces, Panamanian coffee, barbecue sauce, cookbooks and infused olive oils.

Arts and Artisans Day is held the first Saturday of every month. The Central Sarasota Farmer’s Market will be celebrating its first-year anniversary in January 2015, and will be holding a special event Saturday, January 31.

The Central Sarasota Farmer’s Market meets every Saturday from 8 a.m. till 1 p.m. in the parking lot of the Sarasota County Technical Institute (SCTI), 4748 S. Beneva Road, Sarasota, Florida 34233. The farmer's market features locally grown produce, fresh baked goods, food vendors, live entertainment, local artists, artisans and service providers – in a convenient, pet-friendly location with plenty of parking and indoor restrooms.  

Todd Underhill, one of the co-founders of the CSFM, is an eighth generation Floridian who was raised on a cattle ranch. He serves as an elected official on the Sarasota Soil and Water Conservation District and is a past president of the Association of Florida Conservation Districts.
