American Health Foundation To Host Signature Gala With "Carnaval" Flair
MIAMI, September 10, 2014 (Newswire.com) - The American Health Foundation (AHF) brings “comparsas” and “batucadas” to Miami with Carnaval Extravaganza, the foundation’s third annual charity fundraiser and signature gala. The event will take place on Oct. 18, 2014 at 8 p.m. at the iconic Deauville Beach Resort located at 6701 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach. The gala will benefit children and young adults living with autism or who suffer from neurodevelopmental disorders.
The Carnaval celebration will feature a three-course dinner, live entertainment, a silent auction, an open bar sponsored by Bacardi, a casino lounge, a photo booth and many surprises throughout the night. Community affiliates will also present information regarding autism and neurodevelopmental disorders at various points during the evening.
We are very excited to host our third annual signature gala. This year, the event is full of surprises; you can expect casino games, live performances, a silent auction, and much more. We are confident with all the community support and sponsorships we will reach our goal of $150,000.
Gerardo Capote, Executive Director and Founder
The goal for the event is to raise $150,000 through ticket sales, donations, the silent auction and individual and corporate sponsorships. Anyone interested in attending the Carnaval Extravaganza may purchase tickets for $125, each. An exceptional turnout is anticipated, so checks and guest lists will need to be submitted to AHF no later than Oct. 1 to guarantee admittance to the event.
During last year’s gala, guest speaker Raquel Regalado, Trustee of Miami Dade County Public Schools Board of Directors, presented AHF with a proclamation acknowledging the foundation’s philanthropic efforts, on behalf of her father, Tomas Regalado, Mayor of the City of Miami. She further recognized AHF as an important educational foundation for students who have special needs so that they may develop into independent adults and contributing members of society.
