$2,500 Student Scholarship

The GLCU Foundation for Financial Empowerment believes in empowering our communities, members, and employees through education. That’s why we’re awarding eight $2,500 scholarships to students attending or bound for college.

Easy to Apply!

Applying has never been easier, and there’s no essay required. Simply submit a half-page application and make a video of yourself answering three provided questions. The 2024 GLCU Foundation for Financial Empowerment application window has closed. Thank you and good luck to all of our applicants! 

Scholarships will be awarded to the recipients during a ceremony at Great Lakes Credit Union headquarters on Wednesday, June 5.

Eligibility:

  • Must be planning to attend or currently attending an accredited post-secondary institution or vocational/trade school
  • Applicants must have a minimum of a 2.50 cumulative GPA on a 4.00 scale
  • Must be a member*

Award Criteria: 

Recipients of the scholarships are chosen through a process that evaluates the following areas: video answers, academic success, community/school involvement, and work history.

*Must be a current GLCU member or open an account with a deposit of at least $1.00.
