Saturday June 1st, 2013 from 4-7pm at the historical Valence Street Baptist Church, 4636 Magazine Street New Orleans author Deandrea Green will sign her children books, Skating On A Rainy Day about a little girls wish to learn to skate, but the weather will not cooperate when her mother has a revelation, and The Who Dat Movers: Jump Team about a group of New Orleans girls who find their calling in the form of jump rope.

Deandra is a twice published author and a member of the Valence Street Baptist Church. Seeing a need to help her church and community, Deandra has organized this event to help her church and community. She will be signing both of her books. There will be activities and refreshments for the children, as well as, for the adults.

Valence Street Baptist church has had many renowned pastors and has served the community for many years. Previous termite damage combined with wind and water damage destroyed Valence Street Baptist Church in New Orleans. The building, a registered historic building, had an estimated $1 million in repairs.
