Yorkshire's Vital Network Solutions Expands Sales Team To Push Extended IT Support Service

Yorkshire IT consultancy Vital Network Solutions has expanded its sales force with the appointment of Craig Brackett as business development executive.

Yorkshire IT consultancy Vital Network Solutions has expanded its sales force with the appointment of Craig Brackett as business development executive.

It comes on the back of the launch of Vital's new multi-tiered service offering designed to bring the benefits of its award-winning service to a wider range of the region's businesses.

The 24-year-old, who is from Knaresborough, previously worked in Edinburgh for global "software as a service" company Meltwater as a business development consultant, before relocating back to Yorkshire this Christmas to join Vital.

He holds a degree in business management from Newcastle University and an MSc in carbon management from the University of Edinburgh.

The former Leeds Grammar School pupil said: "The opportunity to be involved in the growth of an exciting and rapidly expanding company immediately attracted me to this position.

"The company has redesigned its support packages in response to demand from an increasingly diverse range of businesses and I'll be focussing on developing the new service offerings.

"The high-level of responsibility attached to the role, the opportunity to meet and network with growing SMEs across the Yorkshire region and the respect Vital has in the market place also contributed to my decision to join the company."

Vital was one of the pioneers of the managed services model in the UK, offering a truly proactive, holistic and fixed-fee approach to outsourced IT service for SMEs.

This was in contrast to the traditional "break-fix", reactive IT support that most small businesses were familiar with which, even now, still leads to unpredictable expenses, downtime and higher IT "total cost of ownership" (TCO) to the business.

As the market has matured Vital has seen awareness of the benefits of a proactive, managed service increase significantly with even the smallest businesses now looking at the benefits.

The company has responded by realigned its support packages into a three-tiered structure, ensuring there is a suitable offering for the smallest business and start-ups right through to some of the region's largest and most successful SMBs.

Lee Evans, managing director of Vital Network Solutions, said: "Awareness of proactive, managed service style IT support and the benefits it can bring to a business has grown steadily over the last few years.

"We helped pioneer this approach and the launch of our newly-branded service range, encompassing our Essentials, Pro-Care and IT Team offerings, is designed to make our services that bit more transparent and more accessible for those businesses looking to take their first steps in improving their IT systems and service."
