Geraldine takes off to Alicante for her Spring Coaching camp with promising Athletes
April 11, 2011 (Newswire.com) - National,European and World Champion Athlete and coach Geraldine Finnegan whom has recently returned from the Europeans in Belgium winning Silver and Bronze.
Geraldine who is the most meddled athlete in the country has selected Top Class athletes including two Louth Leinster and all Ireland champions from Dunleer Athletic Club, Lydia Jein and Rory Kirwan to her intense Spring training camp in Alicante Spain.
These athletes will undergo intense training 3hours in the morning and 3hours in the evening for ten days and will return home fit and ready for the beginning of the track and field season which begins early May with the first competition the Louth championships.
Geraldine has also selected other athletes from Northern Ireland, Poland and Germany. The training camp consists of Shot putt, Javelin, Discus, Hammer and speed training.
Rory specializes in the javelin and Lydia specializes in the discus. Lydia who has been a member of Dunleer athletic club since the tender age of six and her club mate Rory has been also a member for many years too has always being dedicated to athletics and are privileged to be coached by Geraldine Finegan.
