There is still time for the formal closing of the placement season for B-Schools, and Jaipuria Institute of Management has already managed 90% placement across its four campuses. It's a remarkable achievement simply given the size of the batch: 680 students in its four campuses, of which 615 have already been placed. And, the fact that the placement season has drawn some of the biggest names in the corporate world and resulted in handsome packages for its students is the icing on the cake.

Jaipuria Institute of Management had a solid placement record last year and the bar was already set high. This year, the institute is well on its way to achieving another major feat, and 100% placement by the end of the season might well be in the cards. The possibility of 100% placement was acknowledged by Mr. Amit Attry, VP - Marketing and Corporate Relations, who was present at the press conference organized by Jaipuria, Indore to talk about its placement record.

Jaipuria Institute of Management follows an Uncampus placement process, which ensures centralised recruitment for students across all its campuses. This unique strategy seems to have its rewards ‒ with the help of its strong network of recruiters and alumni, the institute has managed to fetch the phenomenal success. According to Mr. Attry, "To date, more than 230 companies have already visited Jaipuria for recruiting graduates and dozens of them are in pipeline."

Some of the big names in this year's placement process are: Deloitte Consulting, Ernst & Young, Grail Research, S&P Capital IQ, KPMG, Nestle, Colgate Palmolive, ITC Ltd, Asian Paints, Berger Paints India Limited, Zomato, Rockstand Digital, HT Media, Axis Bank, Deutsche Bank, IndusInd Bank, Citi Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland, Vodafone, LG, Sony India, Genpact, Tech-Mahindra, Apollo Tyres, JK Tyres, Madura Garments, Hindware, Landmark Group, Orient Electricals and CROMA Retail (TATA Group Company).

Clearly, this shows that a good mix of companies from different fields, including Finance, Retail, FMCG, Consulting and IT, have looked to Jaipuria Institute of Management for a new batch of educated employees. That has offered more options to students, most of whom have managed to bag placements in the field of their choice. Mr. Attry is clearly pleased with the progress thus far: "We are not only happy with the number of recruiters we have got, but their versatile nature as well. It's something we've strived for and the results are showing."

While many of the students have been placed in Human Resources and Research fields, Marketing and Sales still rules the roost and has been a popular profile offered for students from the institute. Marketing and Sales profiles included some of the highest placement packages. Two students from Noida campus and one each from Jaipur and Indore were recruited by a Digital Media Company for a handsome package of Rs. 8.9 lakhs p.a. The average package for the placement season this year stands at Rs. 4.7 lakhs p.a, even amidst the turbulent economic scenario.

Some of the other important highlights of the placement season this year include the fact that around 15% of students placed had more than one offer in their hands.

While several big name Indian and International companies recruited candidates during the placement season this year, there were a few local companies that managed to get the attention of students as well. For Rashi Singh from Jaipur, the option of working with Jaipur Rugs - a carpet manufacturing company that aims towards creating socio-economic development opportunities for all, was the perfect option. "Besides working for a good cause I will be operating in the area that I am familiar with," Rashi says." It will definitely help me in my future endeavours with the company."

The placement season this year has given students a lot to cheer about, including those who have already been placed and others who might very well be in the near future. Jaipuria, Noida and Jaipuria, Indore seem to be ahead in the race with the number of students to be placed reaching single digits. And, with the kind of companies that are expected to continue to join the recruitment process, things are looking promising for students and the overall placement record of the institute.

Jaipuria Institute of Management has been a leading light in the field of management education in the country since the inception of its Lucknow campus in 1995. Over the years and across campuses in Lucknow, Noida, Jaipur and Indore, the institute has been striving for excellence in education while focussing on an impeccable placement program for its students. And, with the results that are being seen this placement season, all the hard work is paying off for all involved.
