Willis Allen Real Estate Celebrates Centennial with Gala on USS Midway

Online, May 7, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Willis Allen Real Estate recently celebrated its 100th year of ongoing operation in San Diego County with a gala on the flight deck of the U.S.S. Midway.

The party was in appreciation of the 240 agents and staff that are the backbone of the company. "Without them the company would just be a building, and the company's ideals would just be words," noted An-drew E. Nelson, president and owner of Willis Allen Real Estate.

The U.S.S. Midway has special meaning to Nelson who served as a naval officer and aviator during the Vietnam conflict. He flew in the back seat of the F-4 Phantom that is now on display on the Midway. Nelson was originally based at Miramar. When he deployed, he flew off the Midway's sister ship, the U.S.S. Coral Sea. Nelson flew about 150 combat missions in two different fighter squadrons from 1967 - 1972.

After leaving the navy, Nelson joined Willis Allen Real Estate in 1977. He took over as president in 1981.
