Helping students at a distance, at an affordable price
As a remote trainer, some students have difficulty connecting to the platform or completing certain activities. So I use TSplus remote support to help learners connect remotely. I show them, I stop and they do it again to make sure they can do it independently. I record the process so they can review it later if they need to. From a pedagogical point of view, TSplus RemoteSupport is also very useful.
For example, if a learner gets stuck in a software learning sequence, I can intervene, show, explain and ensure that my student can continue.
Another example: a learner needs to complete a learning activity but does not understand a concept. I can use this technology to provide pedagogical support. What's even better is that I can help several students at the same time! With one click, I can share a file or open a web page on the remote student's computer and answer their questions via chat. Appropriate remediation is provided at the right time. I gain efficiency, time and, most importantly, my students. This reactivity, made possible by the tool, contributes greatly to the commitment of my students to the training; it limits the number of drop-outs in distance learning. I find the video recording function very effective. It is an important traceability tool for revision. What I also like is the possibility to take over the control and to avoid them using the keyboard and the mouse, which avoids mistakes and saves us a lot of time. Finally, the tool is really easy to use, both for the person who takes control, either the technical department (LMS) or the teachers/remote trainers. It's even easier for the students to use, they don't have to install any software and their antivirus doesn't block us from connecting.
