Why do we do what we do? What is our purpose?
A mission statement is defined as ‘a formal summary of the aims and values of a company, organization, or individual.’ Often companies operate under a mission statement – and we are no different. Our mission statement is ‘We exist to engineer creative surface water solutions with integrity’. We aim to help individuals, families, and entire communities to reach their surface water goals and provide freshwater education along the way. However, our purpose is very different!
Forbes Magazine has produced several articles elaborating on how missions and purpose that drives businesses are important for progress and productivity. We would like to share the purpose of our work with you all for the first time! PondMedicsTM has had the same mission for almost 10 years! Are you ready for it?!?!……
We work to support the 25Project! The 25Project has a mission statement of: ‘We empower orphaned and vulnerable children around the world with the hope of the Gospel, the love of community, and the tools they need to grow and thrive.’
The work we do at PondMedicsTM goes far beyond ourselves, our families, our clients, the community, or the ecosystems we serve. It is our call to action to support children that need help, that have dreams and goals of their own. We keep this close to our hearts by writing letters to the children, sending care packages, giving percentages of our revenue, and display pictures of their smiling faces on the wall in our meeting room. Seeing them every day reminds us! Purpose-driven work has been proven to be a predominant factor in the progress and success of businesses –25Project is ours, what’s yours?!
